What this job involves

As a Facilities Building Systems Inspector, you'll implement and oversee quality control programs to meet project objectives and contractual requirements. This role involves inspecting over 300 retail-based pharmaceutical testing sites (split between two inspectors). Candidates will have experience and understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems (MEP), and you will be responsible for ensuring that all non-HVAC MEP systems and new installations meet the required standards and specifications. Partnering with the JLL MTS team, the inspectors will perform regular inspections, audits and to assess maintenance as well as develop recommended actions The role requires a strong understanding of MEP systems, industry standards, and quality assurance/control processes.

You will interface with Contractors, conduct inspections, ensure compliance with

regulations while maintaining high standards across facilities and operations.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Conducting scheduled and random inspections to identify and document deficiencies
  • Monitoring personnel to ensure effective implementation of performance improvement procedures
  • Performing audits, surveys, studies, and spot-checks of functions, work processes, and facilities
  • Documenting discrepancies and submitting reports to appropriate supervisory personnel
  • Assisting with JLL MTS Quality Control Plan (QCP) training for leads, supervisors, and management
  • Investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions
  • Using technical data and Safety Data Sheets to determine proper inspection methods

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • 3-5+ years of experience relevant to quality control inspection
  • Working knowledge in construction/structural trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.)
  • Knowledge of quality control concepts
  • Ability to interpret technical data (service manuals, blueprints)
  • Proficiency in computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and email
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Base Operating Services (BOS) contract experience
  • Experience coordinating personnel and conducting customer meetings
  • Advanced knowledge in multiple trade disciplines

Estimated total compensation for this position:

101,194.00 - 126,493.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
