*** Scientific is seeking a customer focused HR Assistant/Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate for this position is highly organized and self-motivated, possesses strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, solid knowledge of HR related systems and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The HR Assistant/Administrator provides transactional support to all employees, managers, new hires, and the HR team. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide HR Administration support related to on and off boarding new employees, conducting new hire orientations, handling I9 compliance, entering data into HRIS (SuccessFactors) and has solid working knowledge of company policies and practices and can handle first line questions. * Works with employees, managers and our leave Administer to resolved questions related to short-term disability, long-term disability, workers' compensation, FMLA & parental leave and related absence programs; Counsels and advises employees and managers on leave policies and procedures; Responds to employee questions or concerns regarding leave issues and partners closely with our Benefits team, Payroll and leave vendor. * Maintains HR electronic files and assists with administrative duties related to immigration * Recognize employee relations and ADA issues as they arise within the scope of leave administration and coordinate with other HR personnel for follow-up. * Manages the termination process by providing final benefit information to employees, processes termination paperwork in HRIS conducts and gathers exit interview information. * Provides administrative support to human resources function as needed (e.g. correspondence generation, opening and sorting mail, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry, Generate reports). * May work with benefits and payroll teams as necessary to resolve questions. * May provide recruiting support to include maintaining job reqs, prepare job postings, background checks and other related onboarding activities. * Monitor, track and process employee referral payments * Manages the contingent worker process and requests * Assist in other administrative responsibilities including but not limited to preparation of annual affirmative action plan; Maintains compliance with Federal and State regulations; Prepares quarterly and semi-annual Workers Compensation reports; Processes employment verification requests. * Assist with additional projects as needed. * Supports continuous improvement of HR department. Quals-- * Associate Degree. BA/BS preferred. * Minimum of 1-3 years' HR experience * Previous HR administration experience strongly preferred Skills: * Strong computer skills including proficiency in all Microsoft Office products including without limitation MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of SuccessFactors strongly preferred. * Must be organized and detail oriented * Ability to handle highly confidential information with appropriate discretion and sensitivity. * Ability to prioritize duties, multi-task, work with limited supervision, take initiative and a sense of urgency is required. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff at all levels and in a team environment. * Working knowledge of FMLA, PFMLA, USERRA, ADA and other leave-related statutes and regulations desired * Ability to generate database reports and present data in useable format. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, follow up skills and attention to detail * Works effectively and relates well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
