Your tasks
Summary:
Responsible for professional and consistent Contractor, Distributor and Installer training of all GF fusion and solvent welded products, in addition to supporting video and content creation for e-learning initiatives. The Regional trainer will work closely with all Piping System ASM's in the West Sales Region to schedule timely contractor, distributor and end user training sessions consistent with established Georg Fischer Piping Systems protocols. The Regional Trainer will be responsive to short-notice requests, but will ideally try to schedule 2-3 weeks in advance to minimize travel costs. The Regional Trainer will coordinate with all Piping Systems ASM's to consolidate trainings as best possible.

This employee exercises discretion and independent judgement in the performance of office or non-manual work directly related to management policies or to the general business operations of the Company or customers. The Regional Trainer will work independently but report activities and concerns to the Technical Training Director. The Regional Trainer will conduct their activities in a professional manner at all times.

* Works effectively with all company personnel, customers and OEM's, End Users and Distributors to present a professional, consistent image. Interaction includes sharing of ideas on better training procedures, keeping commitments, keeping others informed of work progress, time tables and issues, addressing problems with fusion machines and products constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions, Addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier, and respecting the diversity of our work force in actions, works and deeds.
* Schedule trainings with the goal of minimizing travel expenses and time on the road. Looks for opportunities to group training sessions on single trip.
* Prepare monthly reports outlining training session conducted, including products trained on, participants, challenges, etc.
* Organized and maintains logs of personnel trained and assures that current badges and credentials are maintained.
* Testing of all trained personnel, including Contractors, Installers, Distributors, etc. Testing protocol will follow established procedures and policies and upon successful completion of post-training testing, laminated badges will be mailed to trained personnel.
* Maintain and grow customer contacts as established by Area Sales Managers and other GF Personnel.
* Look for additional sales opportunities while on the job site.
* Work with Product Managers to optimize training programs
* Work closely with Fusion Machine Coordinator to assure required machines are present at training sessions and offer modification ideas as required.
* Maintain Level III certification on all GF fusion machines, or highest training level possible so that field repairs may be conducted as needed.
* Monitor competitive activity and report finding to RSD and affected Product Manager.
* Recommend product enhancements or changes based on upon market feedback and increases sales potential.
* Coordinate activities with Sales Channel representatives (agents, systems integrators, etc).
* Work closely with associates on the sales team covering the site where training will be conducted.
* Completes work accurately and on time, manage travel in a cost effective manner.
* Committed to the protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees,
Customers and neighbors. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our Environmental Management System (EMS).

Your profile

  • 7+ years of experience in skilled trades, or training associated with the installation of plastic piping systems (Solvent welding, and fusion jointing).
  • Team leadership or management experience a plus
  • Professional presentation skills in varied settings (classroom, construction trailer, hands-on)
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills required, multiple languages a plus.
  • Proficient personal computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Office a plus.
  • Passing of Company post-employment physical as well as controlled substance testing and background and security checks, as required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Company products and services offered, preferred
