Job Summary

The Learning and Organizational Development Specialist's primary responsibility is to assess, design and deliver relevant and challenging learning opportunities through a variety of methods to ensure optimal learning. The position consults with internal and external stakeholders to determine the best strategy and methodology to implement initiatives aligned with business needs.

Essential Functions



  • Provides coaching and consulting support to business leaders to identify creative solutions and resolve gaps to maximize both individual and team effectiveness.
  • Actively involved in all aspects of the learning and development process including assessment, planning, design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Proactively identifies gaps (ie needs analysis, focus groups, interviews, talent review results, survey results, business/learning partner feedback), makes recommendations, and optimizes learning experiences.
  • Determines best strategy and methodology to deliver customized training and team/organizational effectiveness solutions based on business needs and requests.
  • Facilitates effective training design and delivery for professional development, leadership, and learning programs, including development of on-demand content, course materials, support documentation, and blended learning approaches with measurable learning objectives.
  • Facilitates programs leveraging adult and social learning methodology, evaluates feedback, identifies opportunity for improvement and adjust curriculum as appropriate.
  • Ensures learning programs align with the needs of the business and business objectives.
  • Identifies industry trends and best practices through researching best in class practices. Collaborates with HR team and business leaders on enterprise-wide organizational development initiatives, such as leadership development, performance management and culture development.
  • Develop and maintains strong relationships with team members, peers, business leaders and vendors.
  • Develops a strong working knowledge of the business, understanding of subject matter, and impact on audience for course content development.
  • Effectively executes development initiatives and projects - defining and managing project timelines, communication plans, budget constraints, resources, deliverables and competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.



Education Description



  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Adult Education, Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.



Experience



  • A minimum of two years' experience in the design, development and delivery of high impact learning and organizational development solutions which align with the organization's evolving culture and business strategy preferred.
