Description and Requirements

The Lenovo Global Director of Product / Offering Development, Hardware Services is responsible for building Services products and offerings through the management of a team of Product & Project Managers. This leader will have a deep understanding of the Services market and be accountable for shaping and executing a strategy that addresses emerging customer needs and drives continuous improvement of existing offers.

Lenovo's product portfolio spans mobile phones, laptops, and IT infrastructure equipment including data center systems, enterprise storage, and High Performance Computing (HPC) centers. The Product Services organization plays a critical role in delivering end-to-end lifecycle services that support these products throughout their operational lifespan.

This role is instrumental in developing and expanding Lenovo's Product Lifecycle Services portfolio-including Accidental Damage Protection, Sealed Battery Services, Warranty and Extended Warranty Programs, Parts & Depot Services, and Multi-Vendor Support-to meet the evolving expectations of our customers across commercial, consumer, and enterprise markets.

In addition, this leader will drive the creation of customized lifecycle services tailored for specific industries, such as education (K-12 and higher ed), healthcare, government, and public sector, ensuring that offerings are aligned to the unique operational and environmental requirements of each vertical.

The Product Development Director will work closely with Lenovo Services geographies and internal stakeholders worldwide to align on product strategy, roadmap, and execution priorities. This person will continue building a high-performing team by attracting and developing talent with relevant experience and a passion for customer-focused innovation.

This candidate should possess strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate at all levels, and the capability to create and execute a clear vision that delivers tangible business impact.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy and development of Lenovo's global Services portfolio across product categories including mobile phones, laptops, and IT infrastructure (data center, storage, HPC)

  • Design and evolve end-to-end lifecycle support services including Accidental Damage Protection, Sealed Battery Services, Warranty and Extended Warranty Programs, Parts & Depot Services, and Multi-Vendor Support

  • Develop and launch industry-specific service offerings, tailored for verticals such as education, healthcare, and public sector, including solutions like device protection for students, summer refresh programs, and high-availability support for mission-critical environments

  • Collaborate with development leaders across Lenovo (Hardware, Services, Software) to align on integrated product and services strategy

  • Partner with regional Services teams worldwide to understand market-specific needs and prioritize roadmaps accordingly

  • Track emerging technologies and customer expectations to identify and develop innovative service solutions

  • Build and manage a high-performing global team, driving results through leadership, mentorship, and continuous development

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and lead execution within a complex, matrixed organization

  • Champion continuous process improvement and customer satisfaction across the Services portfolio

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, Services, or product development roles, preferably with direct exposure to lifecycle services for devices and IT infrastructure

  • Familiarity with products such as mobile devices, laptops, data center hardware, enterprise storage, and HPC environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Management experience, including building and leading high-performing, globally distributed teams

  • Demonstrated success delivering vertical-specific service solutions in markets such as education, healthcare, or government

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to influence across complex organizational structures

  • Strategic mindset with a track record of driving innovation and operational excellence

  • Experience working in global organizations and collaborating across cultures and time zones

This role offers the flexibility to be home-based anywhere in the U.S. within the Eastern or Central time zones. If you're near our Chicago or Raleigh offices, we follow a friendly hybrid model with three days a week in the office-great for collaboration and connection! The base salary range budgeted for this position is $180,000 to $230,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonuses and/or commissions.
