Description Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace firms throughout the U.S. with our staffing services for over 60 years. Our Sacramento, CA region international aerospace client (metal machine shop) is looking for a direct salaried Production Supervisor to join their brand new (because of growth) 2nd shift operation. The target salary range is $90K-$110k with possible flexibility up to $120K+. Strong benefits include 3 weeks of PTO and 12 paid holidays.
This is a
2nd shift 4:00 pm to 1:30 am
(45 hours/week) position. 9 direct reports currently and that is expected to grow significantly in the coming months (target of 40 on the shift).
The Production Supervisor leads and directs a team of employees in an assigned area of operations such as Metal Fabrication, Assembly, and/or Test. The Production Supervisor is accountable for maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to quality standards and is responsible for meeting customer demand schedules within established cost goals. Supervision may include the management of employees on more than one shift.
Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications:
High School diploma ok, but prefer Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Min 3 years of supervisory experience within a metal machine shop
Min 5 years of experience with lathes, mills, deburr, grinding, or similar metal machine shop tools (this includes hands-on experience with CNC lathes or grinding equipment)
Min 2 years of MS Office software
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Machinist background
Min 5 years of Lean or continuous improvement practices
ERP experience (Shop Keeper moving to Oracle)
Safety experience
