Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |

Position Summary |
The postdoctoral research associate will work with Dr. Propper and the investigative team on social and educational research for the Learning Experiences for All in Preschool (
LEAPS) Study which is funded by
NIH. Primary responsibilities will include setting up systems for data collection; preparation of materials and manuals that lay out protocols for data collection; training and oversight of research assistants and undergraduate interns regarding data collection procedures; reviewing data for quality control; tracking data collection progress, data cleaning/coding/processing, particularly with respect to teacher and child behavior in the classroom; data analyses, particularly with children nested in classrooms over time and characterizing children's cognitive/affective/regulatory skills; preparation of manuscripts; and dissemination of study findings to scientific audiences. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
This position requires a PhD in the social sciences. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience with longitudinal multi-level analytic models
Experience coding teacher practices and child academic, cognitive, and regulatory performance
Experience creating and implementing systems for data collection and processing |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Strong writing and communication skills |
