Job Summary
Guides and manages a product's lifecycle to ensure profitability and increase brand presence and awareness. Analyzes market trends and customer behavior to forecast demand and profitability for potential products and drive branding and marketing strategies. Tracks and monitors product or brand profitability metrics such as expenses, sales, and ROI and produces routine reports for management. Collaborates with marketing and product development departments to ensure business and customer needs are incorporated. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager.P03-Senior (Career Level) : Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.
Job Responsibilities

A Product Manager is responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Develop and own the product roadmap for mobile hydraulic solutions with a focus on the work truck, construction, and agricultural markets.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and VOC (Voice of Customer) activities to validate demand and feature requirements.
  • Manage projects from concept to market launch including ROI analysis, Product Vitality Index tracking, and post-launch performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, sales, and marketing to ensure seamless NPI (New Product Introduction).
  • Partner with OEMs, upfitters, and fleet managers to understand application-specific needs (e.g., PTOs, pump and valve configuration, and dump controls).
  • Support the development of technical documentation, application guides, and go-to-market materials.
  • Mentor other product managers and serve as a technical resource for sales training and support.
  • Drive product lifecycle decisions including cost-down initiatives, product obsolescence, and inventory management strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships and help define sourcing strategies for hydraulic components.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies relevant to hydraulic systems and mobile controls.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field-or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hydraulic systems, mobile equipment, or commercial truck product management.
  • Deep understanding of hydraulic circuit design and components (hoses, valves, cylinders, pumps, PTOs, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional product development projects and deliver measurable results.
Essential Job Function
  • Operates in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Travels up to 25% of the time to customer sites, tradeshows, or suppliers.
  • Sits or stands for extended periods; able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Walk throughout a large facility with or without reasonable accommodations.
