Curriculum and Catalog Coordinator

This full-time, temporary position will work in the Curriculum, Academic Effectiveness, and Policy Development Office and plays a key role in the administration of the curriculum and catalog processes for the university. This position will coordinate many of the administrative tasks for this team such as processing forms, answering general questions and inquiries from faculty and staff, responding to Microsoft Teams communications and email communications, tracking curriculum proposals, and assisting with data entry and record keeping.

The Curriculum and Catalog Coordinator is a temporary position with funding up until March 2028.

Duties/Responsibilities

Form Processing

  • Update accounts, roles, and committees in curriculum software
  • Process training form requests and certificates
  • Process other forms such as modality updates, database requests or other forms as needed

General Support and Communications

  • Acting as a first point of contact for inquiries for curriculum and catalog staff
  • Sharing existing support resources with individuals seeking assistance
  • Routing inquiries or concerns to the appropriate individual when appropriate
  • Respond to emails and messages sent to curriculum email
  • Send out curriculum announcements as needed
  • Attending committee meetings or other meetings to represent the office

Data Entry and Record Keeping

  • Track, review, and build curriculum proposals
  • Maintain data and records as needed in current systems under guidance from Director
  • Assist with data entry for curriculum updates
  • Build catalog changes
  • Assist with reporting needs

Special Projects and Other Duties

  • Collaborate with other curriculum and catalog staff on special projects
  • Contribute to making processes streamlined and efficient
  • Participate in testing updates to curriculum processes and systems as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university
  • At least 2 years of experience working in an administrative role such as office manager, admin, coordinator, etc.
  • Experience working both independently and collaboratively on a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Higher Education, especially MSU Denver
  • Experience working with curriculum or catalogs or accreditation
  • Experience working in a Registrar's Office, or Academic Affairs, or Compliance Office

Salary for Announcement

Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

The salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $49,900 - $62,400.The full salary range is $49,900 - $74,900.

This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.

Schedule Information

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Exempt
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with some flexibility for alternative arrangements such as 7:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 6:00pm.
