FlexStaff is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe for our client, a neurology practice in Suffolk County, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately transcribe medical record documentation during patient visits using the EMR.

• Prepare and submit documentation for physician review and authentication.

• Operate electronic health records and dictation systems.

• Anticipate physician needs and facilitate clinic flow.

• Maintain discretion and professionalism during patient interactions.

• Greet patients and visitors, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.

• Schedule appointments, optimizing patient and provider schedules.

• Manage patient records within the EMR, verifying information and adding new forms as needed.

• Uphold patient confidentiality regarding medical, personal, and financial information.

• Perform other assigned functions.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).

• 1+ year of Medical Scribe experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.

• Proficiency in documenting patient care and transcribing appointments.

• Strong interpersonal skills, friendly demeanor, and compassionate approach.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Ability to frequently sit and stand, use a keyboard/mouse for extended periods, and lift 20 pounds.

• Punctual and adheres to departmental attendance policies.

• Provides outstanding patient experience through immediate acknowledgement, focused interaction, professional appearance, and positive teamwork.

• Demonstrates attention to detail and reports patient, facility, safety, and compliance concerns.
