This role involves proficient operation of specialized machinery and vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or greater, as well as truck and trailer combinations where the trailer's gross vehicle weight is 10,000 pounds or more. The individual in the position of Equipment Operator B is expected to possess a solid foundation of skills and experience in equipment operation. These competencies will be utilized to uphold and enhance the district's infrastructure, thereby assisting the Forest Maintenance Supervisor and Managers in achieving the objectives, standards, and mission set forth by the DCNR Bureau of Forestry. The operator's expertise is crucial in ensuring that maintenance tasks are performed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of forestry management initiatives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Occasional overtime and travel.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience or training.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.

Conditions of Employment:

• This position requires possession of a valid Class A Commercial driver's license (CDL).
