In the role of Medical Equipment Planning Director, we'll count on you to:



  • Take responsibility for companywide development, growth, coordination, monitoring, and improvement of technical competencies of business class staff and services to meet client needs, market sector needs, and evolving market drivers.
  • Oversee delivery of project services and deliverables from your teams to meet HDR quality standards and client expectations
  • Articulate a vision for this service and team and lead team to achieve that vision.
  • Devise and lead MEQ Planning team initiatives and coordinate those efforts with company operations, marketing and management priorities.
  • Ensure that MEQ Planning team is developing value added content for clients and market thought leadership.
  • Ensure the MEQ Planning team is supporting and collaborating with the Health Planning team.
  • Ensure the MEQ Planning team is delivering services efficiently, effectively, and consistently to keep up with state of the practice methods and tools.
  • Develop and lead consistent quality MEQ Planning practices and integration of services with other business classes, project teams and management.
  • Promote the expertise and thought leadership of the MEQ Planning team inside HDR and outside to the industry.
  • Manage and maintain the required utilization of the MEQ planning team experts.
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience successfully leading and growing distributed teams of technical professionals.
  • Ability to develop and articulate a business vision and inspire a team to achieve it.
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field
  • Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience
  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
  • Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
  • Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Chicago: $130,977-$187,110; Los Angeles: $136,931-$195,615
