Primary Function

Based at our Hague Quality Water manufacturing and office facility in Groveport, OH, the Continuous Improvement Engineer I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the development and execution of Continuous improvement initiatives (AOSos) to optimize business operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement for the adoption and the consistent application of AOSos throughout the organization. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that impact Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost reduction in alignment with organizational goals. (AOSos is our Continuous Improvement Operating System)

Responsibilities

* Support continuous improvement projects, including implementing tools, facilitating Kaizen events, and tracking progress on improvement opportunities.
* Collect and analyze production and process data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, recommending solutions to reduce time, waste, and costs while improving business efficiency.
* Support front line teams in their development and deployment of standards including job instructions.
* Assist in root cause analysis, problem-solving activities, and audits to ensure adherence to process standards and identify potential improvements.
* Monitor the impact of improvement initiatives using key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports on project outcomes, recommendations, progress and sustainability.
* Support and co-facilitate training on continuous improvement tools to promote a culture of innovation and guide cross-functional teams in executing improvement ideas.
* Manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables while supporting the integration of new technologies and systems.
* Assist business operations in achieving measurable, sustainable improvements in efficiency, productivity, and process effectiveness while maintaining detailed records of improvement activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Industrial Engineering
  • Understanding of Lean and other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Competent in problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and process analysis tools
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, ensuring the integrity of the data, and present data effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and task simultaneously
  • Clearly expressing ideas, actively listening, and fostering positive relationships in team settings
  • Eager to learn, adapt, and continuously develop knowledge and skills through training and new opportunities
  • Project management skills
  • Facilitate group discussions and improvement activities with support and guidance of more senior Continuous Improvement team members
