The Fan System Engineer is responsible for design and development and releasing fan systems on multiple programs which involves sizing the fan based on cooling requirements, requiring deep understanding of fluid dynamics models and integrating the models with other inputs and outputs from and to other models (CFD and 1D) to populate source packages and communicating detailed specifications to other groups who rely on these inputs to build the vehicle model. Sizing the fan correctly and accurately is one of the keys to ensure adequate cooling which directly impacts vehicle functional objectives. This role also requires a deep understanding of electrical circuit, motors and the interface to the aerodynamic model of the fan. Responsibilities include:
