Overview
The Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is looking for an experienced Financial Administrator to join our business office team. The business office supports the financial operations of the agency through budget development and monitoring, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, purchasing, vendor management and related operational functions of ADS. Our mission is to work together with our partners in state government to deliver simple and intuitive technology solutions that improve the lives of the citizens of Vermont. Our vision is to make government services secure and easily accessible to all people doing business and interacting with the State of Vermont. As a Financial Administrator I, your duties will include:
A fingerprint-supported background check may be required based on the assigned job duties and location. As of July 14, 2025, the step 1 rate for pay grade 22 will be $25.98 per hour. Who May Apply

Work is performed in a standard office setting. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business/office administration. OR Associate's degree in accounting, business/office administration AND two (2) years or more of accounting experience maintaining, reviewing and analyzing financial data and records. OR High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of accounting experience maintaining, reviewing and analyzing financial data and records. OR One (1) year or more of experience as a Financial Specialist III with the State of Vermont. NOTE: All levels of required accounting experience, unless otherwise noted, must have been performed to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and standards. For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required. Total Compensation
