Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG), a leading management consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Peer Review Logistics Manager for an upcoming opportunity to lead planning, coordination, and oversight of all logistical operations under NASA's Research and Education Support Services (NRESS) contract. This role is critical to ensure that peer review meetings, workshops, and other events are executed efficiently, economically, and in full compliance with federal travel regulations and NASA policies. The Logistics Manager will supervise a team of logistics analysts and collaborate closely with project managers and government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, maintain, and administer a logistics program that aligns with the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR), applicable federal laws, and NASA-specific policies and procedures.
- Oversee logistical planning for NASA peer review meetings and events, including transportation, lodging, honoraria provisioning, and traveler reimbursement.
- Manage and supervise a team of logistics analysts to support high-volume meeting coordination and event support.
- Develop logistics plans, workflows, and controls to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and cost-efficiency.
- Allocate logistics staff and resources to meet contract task needs while managing the workload across events.
- Oversee ticketing service operations, travel authorizations, and processing of payment documents and receipts in accordance with contract and NASA guidelines.
- Partner with project managers to align logistics operations with task objectives, budget constraints, and performance metrics.
- Monitor and improve logistics performance and resolve escalated issues related to event support, travel, or resource allocation.
Required Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Event Management, or related field.
- 15 years of logistics or event management experience, including 5 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Strong working knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and federal reimbursement policies.
- Proven experience managing high-volume, multi-location event or meeting logistics in a federal or research environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics or event management tools.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a NASA Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal science agency events (NASA, NSF, NIH, etc.).
- Familiarity with peer review meeting formats and reviewer honoraria practices.
- Experience using NASA travel and financial systems.
- Certification in logistics, event planning, or project management (e.g., PMP, CMP).
