Stanley Consultants is currently looking for an Information Services Technician for one of our offices in Chicago, Denver, or Minneapolis. This position is responsible for supporting company members on the use of computers and software applications. Duties include setup of workstations, software configuration and installation, and resolution of issues and problems that may arise. Duties may also include preparing and providing user training.

What You Will Be Doing:



  • Determining laptop workstation specifications
  • Setup of workstations and related peripherals
  • Diagnosis, maintenance and repair of workstations
  • Installation and configuration of software
  • Providing user support for questions and problems with hardware and software
  • Providing application training for users
  • Basic network concepts and troubleshooting skills
  • Offering technical support on-site and via phone or email


Required Qualifications:



  • Degree in related field and 1-3 years of IT experience, or equivalent applicable work experience
  • 3+ years of IT-related experience
  • Technical proficiency in personal computers and major desktop operating systems (Windows 10 and Windows 11)
  • Technical proficiency in the Apple iPhone IOS and the Android OS
  • Superior client relation skills

  • Ability to fix technical problems
  • Effective communication with users
  • Amount of supervision required
  • Amount of initiative shown


Judgement and Initiative: Functions with minimal daily supervision and assumes some project and systems administration responsibility. Receives minimal day-to-day operational supervision from department manager. Performs daily and routine tasks with a minimum of supervision. Performs more complex and less-routine tasks with general supervision.

Physical Demands: Physically capable of handling workstations and monitors weighing approximately 50 pounds; using and reading from a PC for extended periods of time; moving around a crowded Network Operation Center; need to go to end-users locations; and physically open and work on servers, PC's, and other communications equipment.

Base Compensation: $61,900 - $76,750

The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy and practices.

Stanley's Approach to Flexibility

While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 9/80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off!
