Description Our client hiring is an MSP company in Rochester, they partner with small and midsize companies and support some of their IT Operations, but the bigger side of their business is AV Engineering, Install, and support. They partner with school districts, manufacturing companies, and some large CPG customers in western ny. They are looking to expand their business more into the Network/Infrastructure space. They are looking to take their current customer base in which they are doing all of their A/V work and pick up work like server upgrades, network refreshes, data center upgrades etc. They would look to do solutions architecture, network configurations, Wireless installs. They are looking to add a Network Engineering resource that can help them build this part of their business. This person needs to have experience with routers/switches such as aruba, and cisco. They are a certified reseller of cisco, so a lot of their business is going to be cisco focused. They need to have experience with firewalls, wireless access points, and racking and stacking. Their customer base is small and mid size companies that have small IT department that when they go through a network upgrade, they are going to have to outsource the work. This person will be engineering the upgrades, doing the cutovers, and setting up all of the equipment. The ideal candidate would be someone that has some MSP experience doing this type of work, but also someone that comes from a mid size or larger environment that wants to get into solutions engineering. They will be building new environments for customers, this will not be an operations job. Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for designing, configuring, and securing networks and networked systems This position will be collaborating with individuals both inside the company and with the customers IT organization Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT environment engineering and supporting systems & network infrastructure Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, sub-netting, and VLANs Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Science, TSM, or related field Net+, CCNA certification, or equivalent Experience in the following areas: Cisco Switches Cisco Firewalls Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers Aruba Juniper VPN technologies VOIP technologies Skills Security, Engineering, Infrastructure, Firewall, Network engineering, Router, Ccna, Cisco routers, Wan, Cisco switches, Bgp, Switches, Data center, Wireless, Ccnp, Lan, Nexus, Routing, Juniper, Network architecture, Vpn, Design, Routers and switches, Ospf, Network infrastructure, Network security, Configuration, Voip, Routing and switching, Aruba, Hardware, Cabling, Network design, Cisco networking, Cisco asa, Implementation, Architecture Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
