Job Description

This position is required to report to the Wilmington, MA location weekly

  • Develop and lead the execution of the site manufacturing strategy for both the SIR-Spheres and Lava value streams. Align site goals with Senior Leadership and Corporate objectives.
  • Team Performance Management: lead, develop and mentor manufacturing team members.
  • Manage production schedules, ensuring resource availability and capacity to meet demand, working closely with the Supply Chain team, using optimal schedules to minimize overall costs.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement efforts, identifying process, equipment, product, and other opportunities, that reduce cost, improve quality and safety at the site.
  • Full responsibility for developing and managing to site budget.
  • Ensure resource and equipment capacity to ensure efficient and reliable manufacturing.
  • Set site target KPI's managing OEE, Labor Efficiency, Scrap, Equipment Utilization, etc.
  • Ensure product is built to specification and in compliance with all Quality System requirements.
  • Manage the site engineering team to ensure equipment and processes are robust and meet all manufacturing requirements. Manage PM strategy and ensure that execution is completed on time.
  • Support the Quality Department, working with on site Quality team members to ensure that compliance with all areas of the Sirtex QMS are being followed. Identify opportunities for improvement and work to implement them directly in the QMS.
  • Work in conjunction with HSE/Facilities Department to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and that the facilities is maintained, and compliant with regulatory requirements for both the handling of radioactive materials and medical device manufacturing.
  • Manage all shipping, receiving and warehousing activities. Ensure timely material receipt, inventory accuracy is maintained, and products are shipped on time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline such as Chemistry or Biomedical field required
  • 5+ Years experience working in medical device or pharmaceutical industry required
  • Prior experience working with radio isotopes preferred
  • 3+ years of site management experience, with 10+ years of leadership experience
  • 6 Sigma Green belt preferred. Experience using 5S and Lean principles is preferred

The target base salary range for this position will range from $136,000 to $171,000 annually.Individual compensation for this job requisition will be based on non-discriminatory factors, including your geographic location, skills, experience, education and other factors as they relate to the position requirements. Actual compensation may vary depending on the confirmed job-related skills and experience.

In addition to the expected base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in Sirtex's incentive programs (target bonus of 15% for this position)and benefit plans, which include paid sick and vacation time, health insurance and a generous 401k matching program.
