Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Project Manager.

In this role, the successful candidate The Project Manager will lead and coordinate qualitative research projects under the CSTAR Qualitative Core, with a specialized focus on health policy
and stakeholder engagement in organ transplantation. This role requires a strategic, detail-oriented, and mission-driven individual with experience
conducting research that intersects clinical outcomes and policy advocacy.
The successful candidate will oversee NIH and non-NIH-funded research initiatives, collaborating closely with investigators, regulatory offices, and
interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities span protocol development, IRB management, participant recruitment, team training, qualitative data
collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and manuscript and presentation development. Projects will often center on organ
transplantation policy, with particular attention to pediatric transplantation and caregiver perspectives throughout the process.

Job Responsibilities:

Project & Protocol Management
Develop and refine research protocols, SOPs, and project charters related to qualitative methods and stakeholder-informed study designs.
Coordinate IRB and regulatory submissions, track compliance, and respond to institutional and federal oversight.
Manage study timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables across multiple sites.
Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure regulatory fidelity across all project phases.

Qualitative Research Oversight
Design and conduct interviews, focus groups, and thematic analysis focused on patient, caregiver, and clinician experiences.
Supervise qualitative research staff and train team members in best practices for human subjects research and data collection.
Apply rigorous qualitative methods to explore topics including patient engagement and policy implementation in transplant care.

Stakeholder Engagement & Policy Translation
Collaborate with advisory groups and advocacy organizations to ensure research relevance.
Translate findings into policy-relevant formats and support dissemination through publications, national presentations, and stakeholder briefings.
Integrate the voice of patients and families into research design and dissemination, leveraging community and nonprofit partnerships.

Communication & Dissemination
Co-author peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations based on qualitative study results.
Develop summary reports and knowledge translation tools for academic, clinical, and community stakeholders.
Represent CSTAR at scientific meetings and contribute to public and professional education in transplantation policy.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Minimum of two years of progressively responsible project coordination experience, preferably in a research setting Proficiency in using various
Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook Familiar with Internet applications Effective oral, written,
communication, interpersonal skills Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with
both internal and external customers Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently Commitment to continuous learning
as required by department administration Ability to operate research related equipment Ability to work and make decisions independently Time
management skills and ability to multitask Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems Ability to work well under pressure Experience with clinical
research studies required Experience and knowledge of applicable regulations and guidance documents

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building and using REDCap Databases

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $86,397.15 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
