Position Summary:The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in all stewarding areas. This role supervises a team of 10-15 staff members, ensuring timely and efficient execution of daily assignments. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise, coordinate, and support stewarding staff during assigned shifts to ensure timely and thorough completion of all tasks. Ensure all stewarding areas (main kitchen, banquet spaces, bars, etc.) are clean, organized, and meet all sanitation and safety regulations, including compliance with local health departments and Steritech standards. Assign and monitor daily responsibilities, providing direction and assistance as needed. Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and high performance within the stewarding team. Communicate effectively with culinary, banquet, and outlet managers to fulfill operational needs and event requirements. Train, coach, and assess team members through daily pre-shift meetings and ongoing performance evaluation. Support and participate in receiving and organizing all stewarding-related purchases and inventory. Notify Engineering of any equipment malfunctions or repair needs in a timely manner. Ensure proper usage of equipment and cleaning chemicals to maintain safety and efficiency. Monitor dish machine operation, conduct regular chemical checks, and maintain perpetual inventory records. Prepare banquet event order (BEO) setup sheets in advance and attend BEO meetings as needed. Maintain cleanliness and order during breakdown of events, ensuring removal of all equipment and food items. Assist in quarterly inventories and help lead departmental safety and breakage awareness programs. Act as the point of contact and lead daily operations in the absence of the Executive Steward or Assistant Executive Steward. Execute emergency procedures as outlined in hotel protocols. Perform other duties as assigned.

Provide professional, polite, and efficient service to guests and colleagues. Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions. Stay informed of hotel updates and operational changes. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all equipment and workspaces.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous stewarding or kitchen sanitation experience in a high-volume hotel or hospitality setting preferred. Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills. Able to read and write in English; bilingual skills a plus. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain composure under pressure. Physically capable of lifting and pushing/pulling 40+ lbs. Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Clear and legible handwriting for documentation purposes. Consistent and reliable attendance required.
