Overview

Presbyterian Healthcare is hiring a EPIC Environment Manager to defines, develop, and implement the Epic change control and optimizes the change management processes for the Epic IT Teams.

The EPIC Release Manager coordinates key Epic environment activities, including Epic updates, upgrades, and build migration between the Epic environments, serving as a liaison between the Epic application teams and the Epic infrastructure teams.

The ideal candidate in this role will have:

  • Proven experience managing Epic environments, including coordinating upgrades, updates, and build migrations across multiple instances.
  • Deep understanding of Epic change control processes and demonstrated ability to optimize change management workflows for IT teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to serve as a liaison between Epic application and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless environment transitions.
  • Expertise in release management, environment strategy, and Epic system lifecycle planning within a healthcare IT setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred
  • 5 years EPIC experience
  • Epic Certification required.
  • ITIL certification preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Epic Data Courier Team, database administrators, hyperspace deployment administrators, and web and service server administrators
  • Manages multiple Epic environments and ensures that they are maintained
  • Works with subject matter experts and leadership to identify and review the appropriate technological solutions for various business needs
  • Collaborates to achieve technology operations of a state-wide technology network, including electronic health records, population health, healthcare analytics, and business intelligence systems to advance the goals of the health system
  • Serves as the main point of contact for technical issues and general questions related to assigned applications
  • Works with Epic representatives and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs regarding the project deliverables and timeline
  • Escalates end-user problems to the appropriate level when necessary. Includes triaging issues to the appropriate application owner.
