Warehouse Operator

World Kinect

As a Warehouse Operator at World Kinect, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fuel and lubricant delivery services. This position involves receiving, organizing, warehousing, and prepping a variety of packaged and bulk products for delivery to our customers. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety are crucial in maintaining the integrity of our material handling and storage equipment, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and totes. Effective communication and teamwork are essential to support related departments, including customer service, dispatch, supply/procurement, and our delivery staff.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Inbound Stock Management: Receive and accurately document all inbound stock deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Inventory Control: Perform physical month-end inventory of all packed and bulk products, assisting with inventory reconciliation and control procedures.
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure facility organization and cleanliness at all times, including clean-up and mitigation of minor drips.
  • Spill Management: Report all spills and assist with clean-up as required.
  • Storage Optimization: Store items in an orderly and accessible manner based on inventory turnover and product-specific requirements.
  • Delivery Preparation: Load delivery trucks in an organized manner for ease of delivery, ensuring accuracy with dispatch and route requirements.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Assist with facility and yard inspections, minor maintenance projects, and tasks.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in good order to ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Vehicle Operation: Drive company vehicles (non-CDL) for product pick-up or delivery with management approval, appropriate licensure, and vehicle-specific training.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Adhere to Company Safety Policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Special Procedures: Perform rail car or transport truck offloads as required, ensuring full training and qualification.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Special Note:

Warehouse work is physical and requires lifting packaged goods, moving barrels, and other material handling functions. Staff are expected to work both inside and outside the facility, with temperature extremes requiring acclimation and attention to hydration. Working from heights may be required, with specific fall prevention personal protective equipment. World Kinect conducts drug testing procedures for non-DOT safety-critical roles.

Education Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Forklift Certification preferred.
  • Class B CDL desired.
Work Experience Required:
  • Materials Handling/Warehouse experience required.
  • Lubricant experience desired.
