Position Summary: Responsible for assisting in daily operations and tasks within Global Trip Support. Under general direction, maximize international trip support service and customer relations with new and existing clients, provide superior customer service, and communicate all Global Trip Support products and services to existing and new customers. Responsible for supporting Commercial/Military or Business General Aviation business segments. Key Responsibilities: Day-to-day operations requirements, such as but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinating more than 40 trip support offered services/products including but not limited to: customer ground handling, operational permits, slots, flight following, hotels, & transportation
- Coordinating global Customs, Immigration, and Agriculture services including customs arrangements, Canpass, and submission and arrangement of Border Overflight Exemptions
- Creating, maintaining, and processing customers' operational changes to ensure the success of customers' trips in our internal operational system.
- Creating Trip Cost Estimates in our internal operational system
- Provides customers with fuel quotes and/or Sales Order (SO) for all Customers and is responsible as the primary backup for Global Fuel Logistics in high system demand/system infrastructure events
- Provide primary quality control for Global Trip Support managed trips
- Responsible for customer communication management assisting with all incoming/outgoing operational communications, including phone calls, faxes, emails, and SITA/AFTN traffic
- Must have a firm knowledge and understanding of Global Trip Support aviation products and services and be able to effectively market them to customers in the supported business segment.
- Responsible for assuring that all operational trips are current and updated in a timely manner based on the most recent customer communications.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers for designated accounts supporting the Commercial/Military or Business General Aviation business segment.
- Maintaining, improving, and enhancing the customer relationships for these designated accounts
- Assisting in establishing and providing an unmatched quality of service and communication to all customers
- Provides an expert level of support and consultation supporting Commercial/Military or Business General Aviation business segment
- Backup Flight Planner and/or Meteorologist, where applicable & qualified
- Backup to Supporting Services
- Monitors communications after normal business hours and on weekends upon implementation of the storefront operations
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.
- Helps other employees to accomplish company goals
- Responsible and able to Flight Planning & Weather Briefing to customers
- Basic ability to create and prepare flight planning and weather package to for customers under direction direct supervision.
- Use of technical knowledge to evaluate and create future operational ATC routings to be flown by customers to ensure the safety of flight
- Loading customer-specific aircraft specifications into operational systems
- Coordinating and retrieving information to determine potential hazards impacting the safety of flight in determining proper routings.
- Knowledge of ATC regulations and understanding of flight planning systems
- PPS8 , Air Inc, and/or Navblue

- Ability to act in situations with confidence, assertiveness, tact, and diplomacy
- Ability to deal resolutely with sensitive issues; methods and techniques used in persuasion and negotiation of conflicts and problems
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations and negotiations
- Ability to partner with other departments and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong technical computer skills across the MS Office product suite are essential.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
- Ability and willingness to work across a shift plan that covers day, night, weekends, and holidays is essential. We operate 24/7 year-round.
Education:
- Aviation Bachelor's degree, highly preferred
Experience:
- 2-5 years preferred in the aviation industry (Must have either the educational requirements or the equivalent work experience)
Customer Service:
- Exhibits strong customer service knowledge and understanding of the skills required.
Work Quality:
- High degree of attention to detail is a requirement of the position.
Industry Knowledge:
- Customers, vendors, competitors, and primary products & services offered.
Travel requirements:
- None or Some - Infrequent travel of short to moderate duration; typically, does not include remote or hazardous locations; typically travel is to planned events or meetings.
