Summary

The Planner Scheduler is responsible for the effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal functioning of building systems and infrastructure. This role involves developing maintenance schedules, managing work orders, coordinating with technicians and contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The planner scheduler uses computerized maintenance management systems (i.e. Maximo or similar system) to track asset performance, labor, and materials, aiming to maximize equipment uptime, extend asset life, and minimize operational disruptions.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma and two (2) years related experience in a Plant, business operations/maintenance or facilities maintenance/management environment.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of Windows and other computerized programs, including Microsoft word, and excel.
  • Must possess and demonstrate the ability to learn and operate a Computerized Maintenance Management System (i.e Maximo or similar system).
  • Some travel to different sites, power plants, service centers and/orother facilities may be required.
  • Prior plant, operations/maintenance or Facilities related experience and computerized maintenance management scheduling system tool experience preferred.

Major Accountabilities

1) Plan/Coordinate schedule of work for annual facilities or operations preventive maintenance activities.

2) Work with supply chain to bulk order needed supplies.

3) Participate in the coordination and scheduling for minor capital project work.

4) Maintain required schedule interfaces and provide scheduling information for cost and budget trend.

5) Communicate with internal customers on all future work coming up.

6) Run designated monthly reports to ensure efficiency and performance are being achieved.

7) Routinely maintain critical databases and ensure maintenance records are maintained and up to date.

8) Update and maintain weekly schedules/backlog.

9) Ensure work packages are distributed on a timely basis.

10) Perform routine audits as directed.
