About Path2Papers

Path2Papers (P2P) is a grant-funded initiative housed within the Immigration Law & Advocacy Clinic. It provides legal consultations and referrals for DACA recipients and Dreamers in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and nationally. The project's primary aim is to help DACA recipients transition to long-term residency and, ultimately, U.S. citizenship, with a focus on employment-based immigration pathways.

The Opportunity

The Immigration Project and Data Coordinator supports the faculty director, legal director, staff attorneys, and law students with administrative and program-related tasks. Key responsibilities include scheduling consultations, managing intake and software systems, and analyzing data for reporting. The role also involves coordinating with partner organizations to plan events and trainings. This position plays a central role in ensuring smooth operations and effective collaboration within the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain all project data in AirTable, ensuring workflow accuracy and data integrity.
  • Coordinate the daily intake and referral process.
  • Generate reports tailored to different stakeholders and audiences.
  • Update and maintain intake and consultation forms.
  • Track the project timeline and key milestones.
  • Develop and manage systems to monitor grant deliverables, including resource output and professional contacts.
  • Coordinate communications and promotional materials for the project.
  • Schedule and monitor outreach events such as webinars and trainings.
  • Manage access to project resources and serve as a liaison with external partners.

What We Need

  • Associate's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support long-term project goals.
  • Sound judgment, high integrity, and respect for confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with technology platforms, including databases, workflow tools, calendar software, and virtual collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to manage complex data and streamline processes efficiently.
  • Demonstrated passion for serving the immigrant community.
  • Commitment to supporting DACA recipients and Dreamers in achieving long-term immigration status.
  • Strong advocacy skills and ability to support individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse, primarily remote team.

If you have all those things, great! We have a few more things that we would prefer you to have, but it's ok if you don't.

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in immigration law, particularly in business immigration.
  • Prior experience working in a non-profit setting.
  • Experience supporting DACA recipients and other vulnerable immigrant communities.
  • Experience conducting community outreach.

This is a full-time, 39-hour-per-week endowed position that is fully remote. Core working hours are Monday through Friday, with required availability from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM ET. While the schedule offers flexibility, the final working hours will be determined in collaboration with the supervisor. Occasional travel to Ithaca, NY, and/or San Francisco, CA may be required. This is a grant-funded, two-year term appointment. Continued employment and potential reappointment will be contingent upon both performance and the availability of funding.

  • This position is based in Ithaca, New York, however, the successful applicant may perform this role remotely anywhere within the United States. Employees who work remotely may receive multiple W-2 Forms depending on their work location.

The New York Convenience of employer guidelines require New York State individual tax reporting and withholding for this position. Additional individual state income tax filings may also be required if working temporarily outside of New York State.
