Missouri Cancer Associates is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Director to lead our pharmacy operations at our Columbia-based oncology clinic. This is a full-time, salaried position. Clinic/pharmacy is closed on evenings, weekends, and major holidays-perfect for a pharmacist looking for a leadership role in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Missouri Cancer Associates is a multi-specialty cancer treatment center with over 40 years of service. Our team includes 22 providers across oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, and urology, serving 10 Missouri communities. We are committed to delivering compassionate, cutting-edge care.

SCOPE: Manages the operational, financial, clinical and fiduciary performance of pharmacies within assigned geographic area. Ensures all operations and services are conducted in accordance to federal, state and local laws and regulations and accrediting standards. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

Key Director Responsibilities

  • Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for our sterile compounding of infusion admixtures and retail pharmacy operations as governed by Missouri Board of Pharmacy, prepare reports and monitor pharmacy activities as directed
  • Lead the Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee: Guiding formulary decisions and clinical protocols, prepare agenda and reports, present to physician leadership
  • Act as a financial liaison to the controller for pharmacy budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting. Responsible for monthly inventory, manage protocols on quarterly business reviews, end of month financials/rebates/initiatives, and propose financially responsible decisions within clinical limitations
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services - Provide pharmacological information to healthcare professionals and patients, participate in pharmacy teaching and in-service programs to staff and employees, stay current on new drug information through all avenues including media, drug representatives and training
  • Oversee pharmacy staff - Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with legal, safety, and accreditation standards
  • Maintain and compose Policy and Procedure
  • Staffing Pharmacist - Complete pharmacist duties for sterile compounding of IV admixtures and full retail pharmacy duties accurately and timely on 3-4 days per week to maintain excellent pharmaceutical care to all patients, physicians, and nurses

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of pharmacy, Master's degree or PharmD preferred.
  • Minimum seven years pharmacy experience, including at least three years in management.
  • At least one year of oncology pharmacy experience and three years of pharmacy management experience.
  • Must possess current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist.
