Job Description: TITLE: Engineer III EMPLOYER: Airbus Americas, Inc. LOCATION: Mobile, AL DUTIES: Performing technical qualifications for aircraft parts according to the applicable Airbus engineering procedures and developing engineering inputs to the technical specifications as criteria for the qualification of both Cabin & Cargo Standard Parts. Developing engineering project planning with various stakeholders. Coordinating all activities within technical qualification projects. Delivering engineering analysis and supporting documentation of Qualification Test Plans, Qualification Test Reports, and compliance documentation. Interfacing with stress engineers, designers, suppliers, and technical management personnel to ensure the qualification of the product to both industry and airworthiness standards. Resolving technical engineering problems through all possible means including conferring with specialists that would critically affect performance, cost, or schedule. Providing technical input to engineering project teams, as well as input to the design engineering elements of the integrated project plan to ensure that it is technically robust. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field and 5 years in any job title involving experience in the aerospace industry. Prior experience must also include the following: Experience with project management techniques and coordinating new programs and products development; Experience with detail part testing including static strength, service life, and corrosion resistance; Experience with industry testing standards including NASM, ATSM, and DO-160; Experience with metallic and non-metallic parts manufacturing processes, including industry standards; Experience with metallic material surface protection processes, including applicable industry standards; Experience with metallic and non-metallic material mechanical properties; and Applying international aerospace regulatory requirements including FAA / EASA Part 21, Part 25 or TSO standards. Up to 20% domestic and international travel required for business meetings and training. Telework permitted up to 2 days per week.
