ANSYS, Inc. seeks Senior Application Engineer SCBU to work in Canonsburg, PA
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Contribute to the support of software products and supporting systems.
* Use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues, satisfy customer requirements, and translate customer's requirements into exciting new product features.
* Develop competence in one or more products working independently and be recognized as an expert.

* Deliver training/education to customers.
* Translate customer's requirements into a product feature.

* Identify, articulate, quantify, and prove Ansys value to the customer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in a related position.
* Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study, and five (5) years of experience in a related position.
* Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
* Experience with TCL and Python;
* Experience with semiconductor and systems design specializing in digital, analog, Mixed-Signal and RF;
* Experience with large-scale commercial software support;
* Experience with simulation methodologies, running simulation benchmarks, and modeling and simulation of engineered products and processes;
* Experience with triage workflow issues.
* Additional work location information: Telecommute work from home position within commuting distance to an Ansys office, in office at least 2 days a week
