Through these partnerships, TechSource plays a critical role in workforce development and technical support for SRPPF's long-term success.

BSRA, a nonprofit operated by Battelle Memorial Institute, focuses on driving operational excellence, safety, and modernization at the Savannah River Site (SRS), contributing to national security and environmental management missions.

As a trusted partner to SRS, TechSource ensures the safe production of plutonium components for the U.S. nuclear stockpile. This collaboration offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects essential to the nation's defense infrastructure.

At TechSource, we're always seeking talented individuals for upcoming opportunities, particularly on the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project. By applying to our 'Construction Professional' position, you'll be considered for current and future Construction related roles as they become available, ensuring you're ready to contribute to critical, mission-driven work in national security.

All opportunities with TechSource, SRS and the SRPPF will be 1-year contracts available for renewal and full-time conversion. All full-time TechSource employees are eligible for full-time benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee structural construction activities associated with SRPPF and related nuclear facility projects.
  • Ensure construction work complies with structural engineering design, codes, and DOE nuclear safety requirements.
  • Interface with field crews, design engineers, quality assurance, and subcontractors to coordinate technical solutions and resolve issues.
  • Conduct field walkdowns, inspections, and structural assessments to ensure constructability and adherence to specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documentation, including work packages, material submittals, and inspection reports.
  • Support planning, scheduling, and budgeting efforts specific to structural systems and civil infrastructure.
  • Uphold strict safety, security, and quality assurance protocols across all construction activities.


Required:


  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing or executing structural construction within the nuclear industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete, deep foundation systems, and modular construction techniques.
  • Familiarity with ASME, ACI, AISC, and IBC structural design and construction standards.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and construction plans (2D/3D BIM models).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance.
  • Must be onsite in Aiken, SC 4-5 days per week.


Preferred:



  • Experience at Savannah River Site (SRS) or on the SRPPF project.


  • Prior work with the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD), or as a government contractor.


  • Familiarity with DOE Order 413.3B and nuclear facility construction standards.
