Insulation Worker Job ID JR101847 Date posted 06/23/2025 Organization Overview The Production Division within Brookhaven National Laboratory's Facility & Operations (F&O) Directorate provides mechanical, architectural, and civil services to build, support and maintain the Lab's infrastructure. Position Description: The Production Division, within the Brookhaven National Laboratory's Facilities & Operations (F&O) Directorate seeks an Insulation Worker to join their team. Under general supervision, performs installation and removal of insulation and protective coverings about piping, ductwork, fixtures, and devices as required. Performs limited removal, cleanup and disposal of asbestos insulation in accordance with applicable environmental control standards pursuant to laws and regulations governing BNL. Will be trained and must be New York State licensed certified asbestos abatement worker, supervisor and inspector. This position reports to the General Mechanical Supervisor. The hours of operation/shift for this position are Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Other Information: The successful applicant will be required to join IBEW Local 2230 and maintain membership within 30 days of their start date.
