Join us as our next Engineering CAPEX Director for the North America and Latin America regions reporting to our Head of COE and Global Integration Lead. You will be the key point of contact for major CAPEX investments between COE and regional OPS/commercial/S&T organizations. Guide critical and strategical Givaudan's CAPEX in the region and manage the implementation of the CoE strategy aligned with our corporate strategy. You will be accountable for the entire end-to-end regional CAPEX project portfolio.

You will be based in Mount Olive, NJ.

Salary expectation based on technical experience: $175,000.00 - 210,000.

In this exciting role you will:

Functional management




  • Accountable for the end-to-end Engineering CAPEX process, including




    • The entire capex budgeting process and the agreement between local, regional, global ops and functional priorities



    • Implement the regional capex portfolio in scope, time and budget



    • The tracking, monitoring and reporting of projects KPIs (scope, time, budget)



    • The tracking, monitoring and reporting of project financial controlling KPIs (spend curve, LE)



    • The engineering resource allocation to build the regional portfolio



    • The capex maturity level assessment of the region



    • Implement preventive and corrective actions to increase the maturity level of the region according to the capex maturity roadmap





  • Accountable for long-term investment planning.



  • Accountable for all major investments > 5 mCHF



  • Accountable for commercial investment > 1 mCHF



  • Guide major Capex projects as member of the Steering Committee



  • Deploy (train, mentor, coach, assess and track) CAPEX Methodologies/Tools/Standards to the Engineering community



  • Be a first contact for any escalation for CoE Capex activities within the region



  • Share best practices across the region and feedback to global CoE stream leads for understanding and development of global standards.



  • Lead internal and external benchmark (methodology)


  • Foster collaboration with other COE functions



Technical Skills




  • Project management



  • Asset management processes



  • Utilities management processes



  • Financial (CAPEX and OPEX)



  • Expertise in running a service-based function and managing and communicating with stakeholders



  • Advise, training and coaching skills





Required Qualifications:




  • University degree in an engineering discipline



  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a manufacturing organization, with a background in engineering, maintenance, project management, utilities systems, operation, and business process redesign



  • 5 to 10 years management experience



  • Experience in large Capex projects management



  • Continuous improvement experience



  • Languages: Fluent in English
