HDR Engineering is currently seeking a Power Routing and Siting Consultant to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power and Environmental professionals in Kansas and Missouri. Primary Responsibilities In the role of Project Manager/Routing and Siting Lead, we'll count on you to lead renewables and substation siting efforts as well as transmission line routing and siting for projects across Missouri, Kansas and the upper Midwest. The ideal candidate has prior experience managing and providing technical leadership on projects and is looking for a broader, leadership role overseeing all aspects of larger and more complex projects. Candidates have the desire and drive to grow a high-performing team to help execute these projects. The candidate must have a strong background in environmental and related site development services pertaining to the power industry. The position will focus on transmission line routing and siting, primarily in Kansas and Missouri but also in other Regions as needed. The position encompasses a client focus, networking and establishing client relationships, developing leads, and strategic thinking in future directions for both our clients and programs. The position requires a person able to visualize, build and direct a strategic program focused on siting and related activities. Other responsibilities for this position include:
The successful candidate will be expected to perform non-routine tasks on multiple projects simultaneously; contribute to researching and writing concise technical documents; assist with diverse projects and innovate and follow through to completion of all assigned and delegated tasks. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team as well as complete tasks within tight deadlines.
