Summary:
Responsible for managing the issuance, maintenance, and deactivation of identification badges and access control systems for staff, visitors, and contractors. This role involves working with the organization's Information Systems (IS) team to ensure that all badges are issued according to security protocols, that access to restricted areas is properly controlled, and that any issues related to badge access or security are resolved promptly. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: -Issue, activate, and deactivate hospital identification badges for staff, contractors, and visitors, ensuring accurate access levels based on job roles and responsibilities. -Work closely with hospital departments to verify access requests and ensure that badges are issued in compliance with security policies and procedures. -Maintain accurate records of all issued badges, ensuring that information is up-to-date and properly logged. -Monitor and update the hospital's access control systems, including badge expiration dates, security clearance levels, and restricted areas. -Handle requests for lost, stolen, or damaged badges and issue replacements in accordance with hospital security protocols. -Coordinate with the Information Systems (IS) department and security teams to troubleshoot issues related to badge access and resolve any technical or operational problems. -Assist with troubleshooting and resolving access issues, including deactivating badges for terminated or transferred employees.
