Overview

CAES by Honeywell's San Jose location is currently seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer (II - III) with experience in a manufacturing environment to join our team. This role will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to address process problems and implement improvements to support our operation. If you are passionate about solving problems, we'd love to hear from you! This role will require you to be onsite on a daily basis.


Responsibilities

  • Support processes including; eutectic die attach, wire bonding, epoxy attach, gap welding and PWB surface mount processes.
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodologies including lean manufacturing, root cause problem solving, value stream mapping, etc. to improve production efficiencies and key performance metrics.
  • Provide daily production support by taking a hands-on approach evaluating defects, working with operators and troubleshooting machines and using statistics to evaluate data.
  • Train operators and write work instructions to document key process steps.
  • Recommend/implement equipment and/or process improvements to enhance the efficiency of operations.
  • Support new product introductions thru engineering design reviews and production implementation.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree (such as Aerospace, Chemical, Material Science).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Preferred:

  • 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years comprehensive experience with automation equipment, equipment programing, running scientific experiments with the use of DOE and other statistical techniques.
  • 5 years working in a dynamic & cross functional team environment and demonstrating technical leadership.
  • 2 years of working experience with pick and place machines, epoxy dispensers, or wire bonding machines.
  • 2 years of recent hands on and technical experience with sourcing, selecting, and qualifying automation equipment.
  • Good understanding of common assembly materials (e.g., epoxy, fine wires, mechanical assembly tools).
  • Excellent communication skills are required to work with a wide variety of people, including design engineers, project engineers, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Salary Range: Process Engineer II - $98,000 - $120,000 annually. Process Engineer III - $120,000 - $135,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
