Develops and supports initiatives intended to increase the efficiency, predictability, and consistency of litigation services with a focus on eDiscovery related activities and processes. Acts as administrator for lifecycle of eDiscovery projects. Collaborates with FedEx legal management, attorneys, paralegals, and eDiscovery professionals, as well as law firm attorneys and vendor representatives, to implement procedures regarding electronic discovery best practices and technology training. Utilizes resources and implements workflows to support litigated matters including data collection, data processing, and document production. Provides training regarding eDiscovery tools and procedures and partners with attorneys and outside counsel to implement processes for optimal usage of both internal and external resources for litigation and other legal needs while tracking cost and success metrics.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of FedEx eDiscovery projects from beginning to end.

  • Implements and facilitates eDiscovery activities, workflow monitoring and progress reporting.

  • Implements the business procedure for end-to-end eDiscovery processing; including data collection, recordkeeping, case processing, keyword search, and export/production; provides feedback to development and technical to aid in enhancing eDiscovery platforms.

  • Assists the FedEx legal department, FedEx IT, FedEx server support groups, law firm legal teams, vendors and any additional consultants with managing data collections, designing effective databases and ensuring proper communication between the parties. This may include defining applicable metrics and measuring progress on data collections.

  • Provides training to in-house and outside counsel teams on eDiscovery tools and procedures.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve enterprise eDiscovery issues, assess eDiscovery resources, and develop/implement defensible procedures.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in regard to technology offerings from electronic discovery service providers and software

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in Business, Engineering, Finance, Information Science or related field.

(HS/GED with four (4) years litigation support experience is accepted in lieu of degree)

Minimum Experience

Three (3) years' experience in litigation support required with one (1) year of internal process development experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software, web-based applications and eDiscovery software required

  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management

  • Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals and to respond to day-to-day functional needs

  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions

  • Certified E-Discovery Specialist certification (CEDS) preferred

  • Project Management (PMP) certification preferred


Preferred Qualifications: Key Skills: Proficiency in eDiscovery software, data analysis tools, and basic IT concepts; ability to analyze large datasets and develop solutions to identify relevant information; ability to manage time effectively while executing complex projects; ability to troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective eDiscovery strategies.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $5,364.26/month - $9,476.86/month Colorado Pay Range: $5,364.26/month - $9,081.99/month New York Pay Range: $5,662.27/month - $9,476.86/month New York City Pay Range: $6,854.33/month - $9,476.86/month
