$92,206.40 - $191,505.60 Position Summary:

While operating under the oversight of the VP of Radiation & Radiology Services, The Director of Radiology Operations (DRO) will manage and oversee the daily operations of the Radiology activities throughout the AON organization. The DRO will supervise the practice Radiology Managers at each AON facility that provides diagnostic imaging services and Radioligand therapies. The DRO will also consult with those practices that may offer Radioligand therapy without diagnostic imaging services. The DRO will work to standardize procedures, processes and protocols among AON Radiology locations and ensure that Radiology Managers maintain timely filings of ACR renewals, Radioactive Materials Licenses, annual CON reports and all other regulatory filings as required. The DRO will also serve as AON's PACS Administrator and provide assistance to AON Radiology Managers in training new users of AON's corporate PACS Systems as well as any periodic changes that may be needed. Additionally, The DRO will assist the VP of Radiation & Radiology Services in tasks and projects as may be required to support Radiology services offered by AON practices.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage all AON Radiology Managers/Supervising Radiology Team Leads Indirectly oversee operational, administrative and regulatory aspects of all Radiology Departments within the AON network. Support Radiology Managers in Supervising activities of all technical radiology staff. Support Radiology Managers in optimizing staff work schedules. Approve all Radiology expenditures within the DRO's authorization limit. Monitor all Radiology practices' expenditures to ensure they are appropriate for their level of operations. Maintain patient volume reports for all Radiology locations. Maintain awareness of current activities of all Radiology locations. Perform annual evaluations for all Radiology Managers and supervising Radiology Team Leads as well as those technical staff that do not report to a Radiology Manager. Initiate and justify new staff requisitions, interview and hire new Radiology Managers and/or technical staff members in accordance with AON HR policies. Ensure that Radiology Managers maintain appropriate accreditation for imaging services provided. Ensure timely filings. Ensure that Radiology Managers maintain state and Federal regulatory filings, records and logs in an organized and easily accessible format, including RAM and CON filings. Assist AON Radiology Departments in implementing new and novel diagnostic imaging and radioligand therapies. Assist Clinical Applications IT team in integrating radiology IT systems into AON's corporate infrastructure. Assist AON's Rev Cycle team in maintain radiology procedure codes and order sets within AON's corporate EMR and billing system. In unusual circumstances, be available to act as a temporary technologist in support of AON's Radiology practices. Support GO Live/Transition activities for onboarding practices that offer radiology services. Provide insight and support in the development of marketing materials for Radiology services as well as clinical documentation and patient consent forms. Act as liaison between Radiology locations and AON's corporate PACS provider. Maintain personal active State license and certifications in Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography (if applicable). Must meet all state and certification requirements for Continuing Education Units. Comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to patient care, patient's rights, safety, billing, and collections. Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures, including IT policies and procedures and Disaster Recovery Plan. Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all patient and employee information at all times as required by the HIPAA regulations. Report to and meet regularly with the VP of Radiology Services to keep them informed of all operational activities throughout AON's Radiology locations. Keep VP of Radiology Services informed of any occurrences or situations that may subject a practice and/or organization to any liability or regulatory risk. Will be expected to work at any location to help meet business needs. Will be expected to work overtime when given sufficient notice of required overtime.

Position Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Radiology Sciences or Nuclear Medicine

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Dual State license/certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB or ARRT) and Computed Tomography (ARRT). Experience will be considered along with state license/certification in General Radiology.

  • Must have current CPR/BLS certifications.

  • Fluency in the English language as well as excellent oral and written communication skills is essential.

Previous Experience:

  • Five years radiology or Nuclear/PET experience.

  • Three years supervisory experience.

Travel: 26-50%

Standard Core Workdays/Hours : Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional overtime may be required, and weekend shifts based on location hours and operational needs.
