Job Category: Engineering Full-Time Location: Tubis Technology Inc. in San Diego, CA 92111 JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Design, test, and optimize high-frequency electronic systems and components used in a wide range of applications, including wireless communication, radar, navigation, and satellite systems.
- Design and develop high-frequency microwave components, such as amplifiers, filters, mixers, oscillators, and antennas using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Conduct simulations and modeling to predict the performance of RF/microwave systems and components, including signal integrity, noise, and power consumption.
- Build and test prototypes of RF/microwave components and systems, including conducting measurements and analyzing data to validate design specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure successful product development and delivery.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
- Research and stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends in RF/microwave technology and contribute to the development of new products and solutions.
Qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in RF/MW Design, RFIC System Design, Electromagnetic Structure Design and Simulation, Microwave Package Design, or any combination thereof.
- Employer will accept a Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field and 10 years of experience in RF/MW Design, RFIC System Design, Electromagnetic Structure Design and Simulation, Microwave Package Design, or any combination thereof in lieu of a PhD or equivalent and 7 years of experience.
- Work experience to include: (1) Designing and developing Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave (MW) systems and components, including working with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, simulation tools, and test equipment. (2) Utilizing experimental tools, calibration, and de-embedding, to include small signal analysis, mixer spurs analysis, filtering requirement analysis, linear and nonlinear devices characterization, system budget analysis, system requirements and specification analysis and maintenance, and Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) characterization. (3) Replicating data and characterization, to include testing. (4) Working with semiconductor device lab characterization, probe station measurement set up, sub systems, and antenna chamber measurements. (5) Using CAD tools. (6) Developing IC specifications, test specifications, and test plans, and executing test script for the automate test setup, including controlling device under test (DUT) and interfacing to test equipment.
- 40 hours/week.
- Salary: $157,331.00 to $213,333.33 per year.
