The Scholarship Coordinator for the College of Public Health's Student Recruitment department reports to the Assistant Dean of Admissions and coordinates the student scholarship process. Main responsibilities include the following: Coordinate recruitment scholarships for incoming students including responding to inquiries, assisting with the application process, and developing timelines for scholarships; Coordinate standard scholarships for current students and work with each department/program to establish qualifications, recipient eligibility, award amounts, and manage letters; Determine scholarship award amounts through Banner Finance and donor/giving agreements, prepare projections, and follow up with Student Financial Services and students as needed; Create Donor student profile documents and work closely with the colleges Development team on scholarship recipient profiles; Participate in the quarterly university-wide Scholarship Administrators Network meetings and relay relevant policies and initiatives to appropriate individuals of CPH executive team; Pull and prepare scholarship data for executive leadership, faculty and staff for quarterly updates, accreditation, grant proposals, and commencement booklet listing scholarship recipients.
Essential functions:
Recruitment Scholarships (incoming students)
*Respond to inquiries from prospective students about scholarship opportunities. Coordinate reply with appropriate admissions contact person.
*Coordinate with CPH Admissions team, appropriate department/program, and CPH Development team regarding the timeline, process, and offers available for recruitment scholarships to support 40-50 new students annually.
*Respond to student inquiries regarding scholarship opportunities, application process, issues with Academic Works, and issues with disbursements of funds.
*Work with Academic Affairs to discuss scholarship opportunities for students with financial holds.
*Follow up with students experiencing financial difficulty who have contacted staff and faculty members.
Standard Scholarships (continuing students)
*Review with each department/program scholarship committee the qualifications, supplemental questions, post acceptance requirements, award amounts and timeline for each scholarship; update information in Academic Works as required.
*Clone each opportunity and prepare them to open on November 1st or appropriate date for off-cycle scholarships.
*Process all scholarship awards and verify receipt of all post acceptance materials through academic works. Consists of processing more than 220 individual scholarships annually.
*Work with Student Financial Services to ensure the correct and timely disbursement of scholarship funds.
*Manage ongoing scholarship opportunities, such as emergency gift funds.
*Assist scholarship review committees with questions regarding gift compliance, available award amounts, eligibility requirements, and Academic Works issues.
*Verify scholarship criteria and recipient eligibility.
*Issue scholarship letters and manage Academic Works awarding process for College-wide scholarships: Emergency Student Aid Fund, Pina de Luca Scholarship, PT, and one-off awards (e.g., Contact Tracing)
Finance
*Using Banner Finance and the donor/giving agreements to determine scholarship award amounts and enter amounts into scholarship profiles for the following academic year.
*Prepare multi-year funding projections for endowments and trusts with multiple scholarships.
*Monitor Banner Finance to ensure correct scholarship amounts have been disbursed to the correct student. Follow up with departments, SFS, or student as needed to resolve any issues.
Development-Stewardship
*Create donor student profile documents from the post-acceptance material and save to OneDrive.
*Work with the CPH Development team in the mailing of annual stewardship packages consisting of yearly endowment reports, thank you letters, and scholarship recipient profiles/impact reposts.
*Consult with Gift Compliance when needed for clarification of donor agreements.
*Assist with identifying scholarship recipients for news stories, highlights, and features for stewardship, marketing, and communication purposes.
*Participate in the quarterly university-wide Scholarship Administrators Network meetings and relay relevant policies and initiatives to appropriate individuals of CPH executive team.
*Pull and prepare scholarship data for executive leadership, as well as faculty and staff upon requests, for quarterly updates, accreditation, grant proposals, and commencement booklet listing scholarship recipients.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and at least three years of related experience. Must have experience in simulation-based education and previous patient interaction in healthcare or public health. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:
*Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with a diverse constituent population.
*Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
*Demonstrated analytic skills and ability to work with database management programs such as Banner, Cognos, and academic scholarship software.
*Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
*Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
*Strong attention to detail.
*Demonstrated ability to understand and apply University and College policies and procedures.
*Demonstrated computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred:
*Experience working with students, Admissions, Financial Aid, and/or Finance.
*Previous finance and projection experience.
