Location: Shreveport, LA

Pay: Starting at $14 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | 30-minute lunch

Staffmark is now hiring an Ambulance Research Specialist in Shreveport, LA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a sharp attention to detail and a background in healthcare, medical billing, or ambulance transport services. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in healthcare, business, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in medical billing, ambulance billing, or healthcare administration is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly adapt to internal systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify ambulance transport claims for accuracy and compliance with payer guidelines and medical necessity requirements.
• Analyze trip reports, patient care records, and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with ambulance providers, hospitals, and other stakeholders to gather missing or additional information.
• Collaborate with billing and coding teams to address discrepancies and facilitate timely claim resolution.
• Accurately record research findings and actions taken in internal systems.
• Identify patterns in claim denials or documentation issues and report them to leadership.
• Stay current on ambulance billing policies and insurance requirements.
