The Senior Project Manager will support one of UnitedHealthcare's largest Medical and Clinical program implementation as well remaining as part of the account team to execute ongoing project execution for the segment. This individual we be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas. Providing subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all program requirements are being met
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
  • Develop templates and dashboards to provide project status updates
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Meet with client, internal team members, and leadership to provide update

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • 2+ years of experience in health care and Insurance environment
  • Knowledge and Execute RACI and RAID
  • Understanding of Medical benefits and implementation
  • Six Sigma exposure/background
  • Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Proficient in Smartsheet
  • Proven outstanding written, verbal, and project management skills
  • Reside in NY, NJ or CT and willing to drive up to 25% to client sites in NYC

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
