Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide Linux server support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Create and manage capacity and trending reports of system operations.
  • Analyze system requirements and performance of hardware/software systems, and develops/recommends specific measures to increase the overall efficiency of these systems.
  • Perform day to day troubleshooting and maintenance of all Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and related servers (e.g. satellite, syslog, etc.).
  • Perform annual DISA STIGs compliance checks on all RHEL servers and installed software.


Qualifications

7+ years experience in systems administration. HS diploma or GED. Must be Security+ certified. Must be hold the Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) certification. Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification desired. Experience installing, testing, tuning, maintaining, hardening, upgrading, patching, designing and documenting supporting systems, utility programs, and monitoring tools for physical and virtual Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers on both classified and unclassified networks. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, and an ability to conceptualize server infrastructures and configurations. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
