The Opportunity

Adobe Express enables users to easily build impressive designs, whether they're newcomers or experienced experts, by providing a user-friendly platform driven by brand-new AI capabilities. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager to lead the Adobe Express Data Platform Team. This team owns the data processing infrastructure and tooling that powers foundational AI, critical business insights, and enhances the experience for millions of users worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Leading, mentoring, and growing a team of dedicated and diverse engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Defining and driving the technical vision and roadmap for the Data Platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standard processes.
  • Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring high quality and timely completion.
  • Working closely with multi-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, marketers, and other engineering teams, to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Staying informed of the latest trends and advancements in data processing technologies, and driving the adoption of new tools and methodologies to enhance our platform.
  • Ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the platform by implementing monitoring, alerting, and incident response.

What You Need to Succeed

  • A leader with at least 8 years of experience managing business-critical high-performance teams of Software Engineers of at different stages of their careers.
  • Deep understanding of and experience with data processing technologies, and experience with large-scale distributed systems.
  • Ability to dive deep as needed to facilitate technical strategy trade-offs and zoom out to understand the big picture to shape the product
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Bring rigor to decision-making and drive down ambiguity with the right mix of collecting data, seeking input, farming for dissent, and making pilot investments to build understanding or confirm direction
  • Strong track record of delivering impactful results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Business Analytics and Data Platform experience, with technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, Spark, Iceberg, Kafka, and/or Flink, are preferred.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $154,700 -- $320,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
