Join our team! We're building a world where Identity belongs to you. Position Description: Okta is seeking a Senior Analyst - People Technologies (Workday HCM) to join our Business Solutions Team. In this critical role, you will partner closely with the People Technology leadership and play a key role in our Workday transformation efforts. As part of a cross-functional team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across People, Payroll, IT, Finance, and international offices to optimize and scale our HR systems and processes. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about solving complex business challenges, driving innovation through automation, and delivering a best-in-class user experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure data integrity and support the ongoing enhancement and adoption of new Workday features and functionality.
- Act as the primary point of contact for data collection, testing, and communication between key stakeholders and internal Business Systems teams.
- Lead all phases of the Workday configuration lifecycle, including gathering business requirements, designing solutions, configuring the system, supporting testing, and driving adoption.
- Confidently facilitate configuration workshops and problem-solving sessions with business stakeholders to define system needs and best practices.
- Serve as a Workday subject matter expert (SME), with strong knowledge across multiple modules such as Core HCM, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Benefits
- Absence, Time Tracking, Talent, and Performance.
- Provide ongoing support for key annual events such as Open Enrollment, ACA compliance, and Talent/Performance reviews.
- Contribute to internal enablement efforts by providing training and knowledge-sharing opportunities across cross-functional teams.
- Leverage expertise in Workday People Analytics to build insightful dashboards and reports.
- Design, develop, and implement Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Web Services (WWS), Workday Connectors, and other integration tools to connect Workday with internal and external systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, talent management, time tracking, etc.).
- Design, build, and maintain advanced Workday reports, including Composite, Matrix, and other custom reporting solutions.
- Design, build, and maintain Workday dashboards
- Optimize existing Workday integrations and reports for efficiency and clarity, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
- Identify and evaluate multiple solution options for business needs, making recommendations based on impact, scalability, and system design principles.
- Manage Workday releases, ensuring new features are tested, adopted, and optimized in a timely manner.
- Configure and support third-party systems such as Greenhouse and HRLinks, ensuring seamless integration with Workday.
- Serve as a liaison between business teams and Workday technical resources, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of enhancements and projects.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment by supporting peers and contributing to continuous improvement in tools, processes, and team knowledge
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall experience with Workday HCM, including hands-on configuration and support.
- Deep expertise in Workday modules such as Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Security Administration, Business Process Configuration, and Report Writer.
- Proven experience with Workday People Analytics, with the ability to design and interpret dashboards and data visualizations.
- Hands-on experience developing and enhancing custom reports and dashboards in Workday
- Strong proficiency in EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), XSLT Transformations, Workday Core Connectors Report as a Service (RaaS) integrations, and Workday Studio
- Strong proficiency with Workday Calculated Fields
- Strong hands-on experience with Greenhouse and HRLinks configuration and integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose and implement scalable solutions.
- Project management capabilities to lead and oversee complex Workday initiatives from start to finish.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to business audiences.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, diverse, and collaborative environment.
- Eagerness to learn and expand Workday knowledge across additional modules or areas of functionality.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with advanced Workday reporting tools and dashboards.
- Knowledge of change management and user adoption strategies for enterprise system

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$148,000

$222,000 USD
Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
