Job Overview:

Ingersoll Rand is looking to hire a Senior Material Planner / Buyer at our West Chester plant. This facility manufactures air dryers. The Senior Material Planner will be responsible for purchased material planning process from placing purchase order, follow up with suppliers to deliver product to production assembly lines and/or service parts. Plans for engineering change and coordinates into production when appropriate. Provides support to production and management as required. Responsible for purchased material planning process for nonstandard and drop shipments from placing purchase order, follow up with supplier to deliver product to production assembly lines and/or a drop shipment location.

Responsibilities:


  • Analyze production schedules and forecasts to determine raw material requirements.

  • Execution of material planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet production deadlines.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory control strategies.

  • Review safety stock components and strategic inventory level requirements for active products to support key customers.

  • Communicate regularly with production, purchasing, and quality teams to address material needs.

  • Evaluate supplier performance, review capacity constraints with production and engineering team and identify areas for improvement; drive initiatives to enhance supplier delivery to meet revenue targets.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives per required by plant managers.

  • Resolution of receiving and invoicing discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Strong result driven mindset with a sense of urgency.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory management software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
