Job Purpose

The Business Analyst is responsible for pricing, data analysis and manipulation, program management support, and contract and proposal coordination for Federal Aerospace and Defense contracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and track deliverables with program personnel.
  • Interpret, compile, edit, and proofread text and data from various sources for use in technical documents, reports, and proposals.
  • Research and analyze historical data, develop cost models to support customer bid and proposal efforts.
  • Assist in the development, operation, and enforcement of internal controls and protocols.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports related to individual programs/contracts including monthly reports, weekly funding summaries, and contract life cycle status.
  • Build pricing for programs by collecting inputs, costs, and schedules from functional departments.
  • Manage the review and tracking of documentation changes and approvals to support the contract acceptance process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Business or closely related discipline, or equivalent level of demonstrated knowledge acquired through experience and/or other training.
  • At least 5 years for experience in Engineering, Project Management, Government Contract Administration or related experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Comfortable presenting to audiences up to 20 people both virtually and in person.
  • Advanced. Comfortable with general accounting principles and earned value management.
  • Able to examine requirements and understand the underlying request as it relates to the project.
  • Must be able to multi-task in an environment where prioritization is consistently changing while ensuring all responsibilities are addressed.
  • Role requires significant use of Excel and other software. Must be able to understand Excel formulas and impact of data inputs in complex spreadsheets.
  • PMP (preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent technical writing skills
