This position will be based inJackson, MS and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and drive market success for a world-renowned winery? We are seeking a passionate and experienced District Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) dedicated to the sale and distribution of Gallo products within a designated territory. By leveraging your expertise in business development, relationship management, personal selling, and team leadership, you will ensure our winery brand and products dominate both Retail and On-Premise accounts.

As a District Manager, you will provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to your FSR team, helping them refine their skills to maximize sales and distribution. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with retail store managers and on-premise accounts will be crucial in driving our products' visibility and success. You will also lead the grassroots implementation of sales initiatives, ensuring our products are prominently displayed in strategic locations.

Your role will involve continuous market assessment, providing valuable insights and recommendations to enhance market growth. Promoting cross-functional collaboration within the organization and distributor network, you will conduct sales training and wine education, ensuring our team is well-equipped to meet sales priorities and objectives efficiently. Additionally, you will manage personal and subordinate business expenses, ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of Gallo or partner distributor sales experience; or bachelor's degree plus 2 years of sales, direct to consumer marketing, or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of Gallo or partner distributor sales experience; or High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of sales, direct to consumer marketing, or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to view, smell and taste wine.
  • Required to travel by airplane or automobile.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to lift and move cases of product weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What You Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of Gallo or partner distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience selling or marketing Gallo brands and products.

Compensation:

  • Hiring salary range posted: $68,040- $102,060/ year
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
