Hours: Day shift 6:00 am - 4:40 pm Mon - Fri

Location: Ridgeville, SC

Must be able to work customer shifts and shift extensions as required including Saturday when scheduled.

NATURE OF WORK: Report daily to Volvo assembly plant, work on the customer final line finessing / reworking seat quality related to craftmanship issue (Appearance related issues). Effectively communicate issues back to Lear Duncan. Constantly maintain professional relationship with customer that reflects Lear's values and best interest.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED (The following duties are typical for this classification. However, any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all of the duties which may be performed.)



  • Follow customer health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Work closely with customer IMQ (Incoming Materials Quality) personnel on issues reported at daily customer audit.
  • Assist with replacement parts to the line when needed.
  • Assist in problem solving for issues seen incoming at the customer location.
  • Inspects incoming materials and report back to Lear for breakpoints.
  • Provide electronic summary of finesse and reworked seats back to Duncan Plant via e-mail


Recommends training programs or reorganization techniques for the manufacturing process.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:




  • Knowledge of the customer photo catalogue as it pertains to the Volvo audit calls for surface appearance
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office


PHYSICAL ABILITIES:




  • Physical Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Physical Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Physical Ability to concentrate on a given tasks and not be distracted.
  • Physical Ability to read and see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Physical Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements.
