Overview Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. With general guidance, the Systems Engineer III (SE III) is expected to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of infrastructure systems that supports core organizational functions; complete routine assignments and/or project tasks. The SE III provides operational support for authentication, monitoring, messaging, and collaboration systems; servers, storage, and data protection systems. This role is responsible for building, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing operating systems and infrastructure systems' performance to identify, resolve and communicate issues. The Systems Engineer III implements medium-to-large scale and potentially complex systems. The work assignments of the SE III will follow both existing and newly created solutions. The incumbent must be able to recognize and respond to complex and non-routine issues, and plan and lead large scale, complex assignments. Additionally, the SE III is responsible for the evaluation of systems and assisting with determining future needs to create and drive improvements of infrastructure technology, processes, and standards. The Systems Engineer III reports to the Systems Engineering Manager (Core Infrastructure Engineering). This role will have the opportunity to work partially at our campus and remotely. Evening and/or weekend work may occasionally be required. Responsibilities Operational: May perform some or all of the following responsibilities:

The annual base salary range for this position is from $107,536 to $169,957, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance. This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. This role will have the opportunity to work partially at our campus and remotely.
