We are looking for others who want to join this truly unique company that celebrates our employees and provides the opportunity to truly make a difference in the world.

What We're Looking For:

Iridium seeks an experienced Product Management Associate Director to join our Product Management team. As the Product Management Associate Director, you won't just manage products; you'll be the driving force behind the Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) line of business within Iridium. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving the development of Iridium's cutting edge PNT technology. Your primary focus will be the product management of Iridium's PNT service, products, and capabilities. You'll be successful in this role if you have the relevant technical knowledge, can think on both tactical and strategic levels, can communicate and persuade at all levels of the organization, and are adept in a matrix-management, virtual/in-person, ever-changing environment. Step into a role that challenges you, empowers you and sets the stage for your leadership to shine. At Iridium, we're not just shaping the future; we're shaping it together.

What You'll Do:
Participate in PNT Strategy - Focus on building the foundations established in Iridium services to create a world-class implementation of Iridium's PNT solution. Work with the teams to define the short-and long-term initiatives that make Iridium a leader in PNT for the industry stakeholders. Develop a framework for evolving capabilities through internal (systems, network, billing) and external partnerships. Own the roadmap for the commercial team at Iridium.
  • New Initiative Product/Service Leader - Serve as primary point person for new products, services, feature enhancement requests and defects. Develop solutions, major product and service offerings through the full product life cycle: analyze the opportunities, establish the business case and model, define the requirements, partner on the development, identify and evangelize the go-to-market strategy and maintain the product through and beyond launch. Proactively work across all relative functions to ensure products and services fit into relative company functionality (software systems, billing systems, etc.), processes, and procedures.
  • Technical Execution - Collaborate with engineering teams to oversee and prioritize the backlog, implement new features, resolve product issues, ensure technical decisions align with market demands, and guarantee a successful product launch on schedule.
  • Product and Service Manager - Support products and services as partners and customers adopt them. Facilitate the enhancement of capabilities and partner in maintenance activities, including regulatory changes, issues in operation, etc.
  • Customer/Partner Solution Driver - Facilitate the broader ecosystem of opportunities with partners, MNO's, manufacturing partners and other value-added partners.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • BS/BA/MBA in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Economics
  • 12+ years of experience in an engineering or product management role
  • Experience working with external partnerships to deliver products to a commercial market
  • Previous experience in a PNT industry and/or with PNT products
  • Proven ability to work with business leaders, engineers, legal and regulatory
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information, drive discussion, and respond to difficult scenarios with limited preparation across all employee groups
  • The ability to easily form relationships with executive leadership and interact effectively with customers, partners and employees in various functions and at all levels of the organization
  • Willingness to dedicate yourself to the organization and make positive business impacting decisions based on available or limited data
  • Have an intense sense of urgency to immediately prioritize and drive projects to an accelerated completion schedule and be persistently driven and motivated to far exceed departmental and organizational goals
  • The ability to analyze a situation or problem, generate effective solutions, and see those solutions through to completion
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize your own tasks and potentially the tasks of others and meet deadlines under tight time constraints
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in delivery of work products that ensure that both internal and external expectations are exceeded
Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
  • Fluency in non-English language
We'll also need you to:
  • Be able to travel up to 15%
  • This position directly performs under, supports, or is exposed to a U.S. government contract. To comply with the requirements of that U.S. government contract, applicants for this position must be U.S. citizen
Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
